Ex-top cop David Michaels states that the Met 'Were showing that they had not fully learnt the lessons of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry ‘.
Well why should they
The Stephen Lawrence affair was wrought with the most miserable corruption, murder, flawed policing from the lowest to the highest office, cowardly buck passing and self confessed racism
It culminated in a family without a son; five near ‘bang to rights’ suspects sticking their fingers up at us, directly accountable officers on short term full paid suspensions, no job losses, no prosecutions a family without a son and no answers.
And you think that today’s force hasn’t learnt a lesson?
On the contrary they've learnt only too well
What grieves me is that the people who haven’t really learnt are the millions who have taken the cheap scapegoat phrase 'institutional racism', and herald it like it was written by God and thrust down to Moses for our salvation
If that's all it took for us to cease firing, ending a pivotal fight for race relations in the history of our Caribean-anglo experience, you really can't blame anybody for taking the mick
