Black western soldiers

The notorious loss of brother Lance Sergeant Dale Mc Callum raises an issue

Joe Lois didn't fire a shot in world war 2 yet received the Legion of Merit medal for "incalculable contribution to moral. In a staged scene he said to the news cameras "Let us at them japs" The press in turn relieved him from stereotypical racial references and only referred to him in sports hero staus as he became the poster boy for black recriutment into a racially segregated army.
In 1966 Muhamad Ali said no vietcong ever called me nigger , the sentiment caused outrage, followed by analasis followed by support, although he ridiculed Joe Louis.
The details comprised of a war that was started and escalated on the basis of greed and stubborn egos and woven into lies. Having not learned enough from history we are in an almost identical situation today in Afghanistan.
It is noticeable that wherein every facet of afro-caribean life has been marked with some degree of negative stereotype bar subscripted soldiers these past few years , this is the only one where racism which was once a prominent issue in the forces, is now not heard of in the press. Instead we have impressive images of the brave Johnson Beharry, and now Dale Mc Callum gracing our front pages
It doesn't take the evaded lessons of the past to see that what we should be addressing is who we are fighting and why
