Naomi and Cadbury's

One of the terms we were bullied  with as children was 'Chocolate drop'
Its course , on a lower key had similarities to the 'n' word. Both terms were 'reclaimed' and became terms of endearment.
It's a sour comparison
The most economically prolific industry born of the slave trade was sugar. It was use to sustain physical productivity and it continues today as a primary yet inciduous stimulant in most foods
In bed with it is the cocoa bean. 43 percent produced by modern slave labour on Ivory Coast farms
The combined product is marketed as an essential compliment to the egos of western women, a prime fashion accessory, opiate and birthright; and just as the black community have forged ourselves in the evolved sess pit of niggerisms, our singles pages are loaded with women  describing themselves exotically as nothing more imaginative than this non-essential foodstuff.
Was Cadbury's Naomi jibe racially charged ? If a white or middle eastern grime toting hoody calls  his friend the 'n' word is he being racist ? As a collective we barely have the right to condem
If we define ourselves through self love instead of salvaging hate the boundaries wouldn't be blurred and we would have a firm leg to stand on
